A Ryan International Boeing 767-300 on behalf of the US Air Mobility Command, registration N637TW performing flight MC-726 from Rota,SP (Spain) to Terceira (Portugal), contacted the runway with its tail while landing on Lajes Airport's runway 33 on the Terceira Island, Azores. The airplane rolled out safely.
The airplane received minor damage to its tail skid and was able to continue the journey to the United States of America after 3 hours on ground. |
